Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG)
TPEG is a state-funded need-based grant available at Texas public institutions. Many community colleges offering CNA programs participate in this program.
Texas Workforce Commission Skills Development Fund
The Skills Development Fund provides grants to community and technical colleges to partner with employers for customized workforce training, including healthcare and CNA programs.
Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Unlike loans, Pell Grants do not need to be repaid. Many CNA training programs at community colleges and vocational schools accept Pell Grants.
WIOA (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act)
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides federal funding for job training programs, including CNA certification. Funds are distributed through local American Job Centers (also known as CareerOneStop centers).
