Union Fund

1199SEIU Training & Employment Funds

Fully funded

1199SEIU is the largest healthcare workers union in the U.S. Their Training and Employment Funds provide free CNA and nursing training to members working in participating facilities.

Pell Grant

Federal Pell Grant

Up to $7,395/year

The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Unlike loans, Pell Grants do not need to be repaid. Many CNA training programs at community colleges and vocational schools accept Pell Grants.

WIOA

WIOA (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act)

Up to $10,000

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides federal funding for job training programs, including CNA certification. Funds are distributed through local American Job Centers (also known as CareerOneStop centers).
